D10 became D11 on 24 March. When I picked him up from school on the 26th, I had a present waiting in the car for him. Before he unwrapped it, he said 'Thank you! I don't even know what it is yet, but I know it'll be awesome because it's from you'.

Isn't that sweet?

You may notice that just above and just below the knobs are holes which were previously covered. I want to fill them with some sort of compound, but don't really have any idea of what to buy. I'd obviously just need a small amount. Thoughts?

ETA: I found the latch! It was entirely hidden by the damn faceplate. I had to manipulate the faceplate a lot to even find the stupid latch, and I'd already looked for it several times before. But the knob is now off; thank you all for the help ( Read more... )

My boyfriend is full of great money-making ideas. I'm not entirely sure why he isn't supporting me and taking me on Mediterranean cruises and stuff, given the stuff he's come up with. Hopefully someday soon!

Just a quick post to let you know that I made it home safely from the UK. I miss my boyfriend like mad and any well wishes, hugs, etc. would be much appreciated. I had a fantastic time and definitely want to go back at some point.

Long detailed post coming this week! Maybe even tomorrow, if I can get my finger out and just do it.

So! I am in England. We thought that wireless internet came as part of the package in the studio apartment we're staying in, but it turns out that they want us to pay for it. Quite a lot more than we're willing to pay, as well. We are extremely unimpressed about that, but at least there's a library a short walk away where we can be online for ( Read more... )

I'm writing this quickly before I shut down my computer. I'm off for four weeks in tropical England (Manchester area) to visit ganimede! I'll be pretty scarce online until I get home on 09 February.

I'm quite nervous about the travel and the potential homesickness, so please leave me love and reassurances.
